The Coachman's Cottage was refurbished by the previous owners in 2005. It was built in the 19th Century and has been cottage accommodation and at one time a shop. The cottage has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people. It is situated on the high street of Catterick Village and is conveniently situated only two minutes from the A1. The village has three pubs, one with a restaurant, various take away shops, a butcher, a pet shop and a small supermarket.

Five miles away, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is the picturesque Georgian Market Town of Richmond. Here visitors will find a castle, various shops, pubs and restaurants and the only surviving Georgian Theatre in England. Visitors to Catterick are just one hour from the historic city of York, fifty minutes from Newcastle and one and a quarter hours from the magnificent Lake District.
