This large cottage sleeps between eight and ten people and is thoughtfully furnished throughout.Morton House is a grade II listed stone farmhouse just off the market square in the picturesque market town of Masham. The accommodation is within easy walking distance of all amenities, pubs, shops and of course Masham's famous breweries-The Black Sheep and Theakstons. Morton House has been totally renovated retaining much of the charm and features you would expect including exposed beams, open fireplace, fantastic loft master suite and farmhouse style kitchen/diner. The rear (shared) garden is fully fenced, private and sunny. There is parking at the door on the street (further off-street parking can be provided if required at the owners home down the lane beside the house). The house is centrally heated throughout and can be rented in conjunction with 'The Stable Block', therefore able to sleep up to 16 persons in 7 bedrooms.
The town of Masham is superbly placed for walking and visiting local attractions. A market has been held here since 1393 when a charter was granted by Richard II and the town subsequently thrived due to the easy access of the flocks from nearby Fountains and Jervaulx Abbeys. It still hosts a market every Wednesday and Saturday, and there are plenty of welcoming pubs and delightful tearooms.
The house has a formal sitting room with open fire place. The TV/family sitting room with dual fuel cast iron stove, 42" plasma screen and full Sky package. The large kitchen has a range cooker and a family dining area with seating for 8/10 people. On the first floor there are three bedrooms: double bedroom with super-king size bed, double bedroom with double bed and a large bedroom with twin beds and en-suite shower room. A cot is available for babies and further 'put-me-up' beds can be supplied for this twin room. Up again into the loft is the fourth bedroom master suite with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom.
We are especially suited to catering for families and family reunions. Morton House is available on its own or to rent with The Stable Block, therefore catering for up to 16 persons in 7 bedrooms.

Some directions to find us '¦ FROM THE A1 Northbound: Take the B6268 off the A1 signposted Thirsk and Masham, turn left off the exit and follow the signs to Masham (about 10/15mins). FROM THE A1 Southbound: Take the A684 (Leeming Bar Services) to Bedale, then the B6268 to Masham (about 15/20mins). As you enter Masham you come up to the Market Square, follow the road around to the right (Church Street) which then becomes Park Street, passing the HSBC Bank. You will see the Co-op on your right. At the end of that row of terraces is a detached house with bay windows and a blue door number 24 '` that's us! You should find plenty of parking on the street or you can pull into the lane on the left hand side of the house to unpack.
