Recently Re-opened & Refurbished throughout, The Fountain Inn Hotel is open & under new ownership. Owner Samantha Knowles welcomes all returning & new guests. Situated in the foothills of the southern Pennines close to the Peak District National Park and firmly in "Last of the Summer Wine Country" The Fountain Inn in the village of Ingbirchworth is only 6 miles from Holmfirth and within 20 minutes of Wakefield, Barnsley and Sheffield.

This popular old coaching inn, parts of which date back to the 17th Century, stands beside Ingbirchworth reservoir, which is great for walking around, and has outstanding views of the countryside as well as the infamous windmills on Royd Moor. Only 10 minutes from the M1 it is a great place for a meal, short break or even a longer holiday with its celebrated food, excellent real ales and wines matched by luxurious rooms, furnished to 4 Star Standard. Deluxe Rooms Have Four Poster Beds. Moreover, with its large Rendezvous function room, what a great venue for your wedding reception, anniversary parties or business meetings.

At The Fountain Inn we have 10 excellent rooms with views over the surrounding countryside. All our rooms are fitted to a high specification with large double beds, luxury duvets, a desk with modem points, direct dial telephones, mini music systems, televisions and hot drink making facilities. Our individually designed bedrooms are all en-suite. Two of the rooms are superior standard with the largest specifically decorated with newlyweds in mind. Deluxe Rooms Have Four Poster Beds. Our aim is to provide a cosy and luxurious stay for guests with a home-from-home feel.
