Formerly the waiting room for Sewerby-cum-Marton and later Flamborough railway station it now offers the discerning guest that extra special getaway. Situated in an award winning complex of small cottages and courtyard gardens, The Annex still retains some of the original features and offers a beautiful bedroom with 12ft ceilings, original sash window with shutters, original fire (which is now just for show as we have central heating) and an enormous en-suite with a bath and separate walk in shower. The accommodation also offers use of our spacious tidy and welcoming lounge with LCD tv with Freesat. Breakfast is served at a time to suit your needs. You even have your own front door so you can come and go as you please and you don't have to see us if you don't want to. As a guest at The Annex you also have a dedicated parking space.
This cottage is an absolute delight. Ideally placed for visiting The Wolds, The Annex is less than 2 miles from the RSPB Reserve at Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head, coastal walks, Blue Flag beaches and the delights of Bridlington. There is a lovely pub just 50yds from The Annex that serves great food & real ales. They also have entertainment and Sky TV. The Annex is south facing and the sun shines on the property all day. Outside to the front there is the old station platform which is now the private ground for the Annex, here you can have breakfast or just sit and soak up the atmosphere of this unique property and sometimes spot the odd bunny. You are welcome to make use of the BBQ during your stay. The Annex is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

The Annex offers a luxury double bedroom with many original features, and large attractive beautifully tiled en-suite bathroom with both full sized bath and separate walk-in shower. Tea and coffee is provided (we sometimes provide home made cakes, biscuits, breads, soups etc). There is also a Freeview Tv in the bedroom. Our lounge has ample soft seating and a 32' LCD tv with Freesat. Both rooms have 12ft ceilings with beautiful cornicing and ceiling roses. Between these rooms is a small hallway with your own private front door. * Please note, no smoking is permitted in the building although guests are welcome to smoke in the garden.
The Annex is a unique property in a unique setting. A small 2 carriage rural line train runs past the property hourly from approx 7.30am - 8.30pm but does not stop here. Should you wish to wave to the driver, he usually hoots and waves back. Across the line you can find an indoor pool where for a small charge you are welcome to swim. If you are wanting something different and a little bit special, the Annex may well be just what you are looking for. * Also be aware that the owners have a rather wicked and dry sense of humour.
