Set in beautiful open countryside and if you check the map you will see we are well away from any roads, our location is outstanding with views extending for miles. A delicious breakfast, using locally-sourced and home produced ingredients - our (very) free range eggs from our hens are always popular - is served in the spacious dining room. We are proud to offer good food which we can trace - for example our beef is raised at the end of our drive. Vegetarians are welcome and other dietary requirements can be met with prior notice. To assure you of the high standards you can expect we are quality assessed and hold a 4 star rating with Silver Award from Visit Britain.
Our conservatory is a pleasant place to spend a warm afternoon and we have a lounge area with books and games available. If you like animals go outside to the fields where you can meet our friendly animals who are always pleased to see guests. We are committed to making the most of our location by supporting the local businesses and by reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible. For example, we now line dry our bedding, when ever this is possible,so you can enjoy the freshness of outdoor dried sheets, the majority of our breakfast left over’s go to the hens for your delicious eggs, and have put low energy light bulbs where this is appropriate.
Our 7 en suite rooms offer delightful views of the paddocks, complete with ponies and sheep, our woodland and the surrounding countryside. Each room has been decorated to give a traditional feel and is comfortably-furnished, with ample space for guests' storage requirements. For guests looking for something extra special, a majestic four-poster bedroom is available. En-suite facilities are provided as standard in all rooms and bathroom facilities are well-maintained and clean.
Disabled guests are more than welcome at Elmfield House, with needs specially catered for and rooms and bathrooms designed for ease of access and useby wheelchair users. Our location is outstanding with peace and tranquility and views extending for miles across the surrounding countryside. We are well away from the road and the 1/4 mile drive down our track makes for a restful and secure location. For those who would like to immerse themselves in the wildlife we have paddocks, rough grassland, woods and a small lake where you are welcome to walk and explore.
