The self-catering cottage is situated at the heart of the small village of Holme, on the cobbled square. Holme is at the head of the Holme valley about 3 miles from the centre of Holmfirth which is famous for the television series " Last of the Summer Wine" and for Bamford saucy postcards. To the west the road rises steeply up to Holme Moss and wild, open moorland. It is 14 miles to Glossop, the nearest town in this direction. Holme is on the edge of the Peak National Park with all the wonderful countryside and walks that the park has to offer. To the orth Eeast is the West Riding of Yorkshire with its historic mills, canals and coal mines.
The cottage provides all modern amenities in this traditional, rural setting. The living area has a flat screen television with DVD player and a library of DVDs, whilst offering an old-fashioned wood-burning stove. The kitchen provides everything needed to host a dinner- or prepare a snack for one. Modern white goods and a full selection of cutlery and crockery are provided. The dining area comfortably sits all guests. The bathroom is clean and well-maintained, with a bath and overhead shower.
