Luxury 17th century B&B farmhouse, pool & self-catering cottages on Pennine farm, in Summerwine area

Idyllic Uppergate Farm offers guests a choice of high quality B&B accommodation in the farmhouse, or alternatively self-catering in on-site charming holiday cottages. Uppergate is located in the beautiful Pennine village of Hepworth in the heart of the lovely Holme Valley, 'Last of the Summerwine' country. Indoor swimming pool and sauna now open for all guests. Superb views and walks are everywhere from the village, plus there is a beautiful church and an excellent pub/restaurant within a five minute stroll of Uppergate Farm. For both self-catering and B&B accommodation we have been awarded ETC 4 stars and 4 diamonds respectively, indicating the high standard of our West Yorkshire accommodation. The farmhouse contains three en-suite bedrooms and a guests' lounge. For a self-catering option we offer a wing of the farmhouse or one of our four holiday farm cottages, Grove, Bray, Rosie's and the Mistal. Lengths of stay are very flexible depending on the needs of guests.

Uppergate Farm is luxuriously atmospheric with oak beams, flag floors and spacious, ensuite, panelled rooms. Extensive safe parking is available for guests, and the farm has woodland walks, large gardens, orchards, an indoor pool and sauna, along with play areas for children. For the comfort of our guests we are non smoking throughout and sorry, no pets. People on holiday or business from all over the world comment favourably on the quality and peacefulness of Uppergate Farm and its idyllic Holme Valley surrounds.

Rooms Description

Grove Farm Cottage, Bray, Rosie's and the Mistal cottages are located in the grounds of Uppergate Farm. The three, 3 bedroom cottages and the one 2 bedroom cottage are available all year round for self catering and holiday lets. All are fully equipped with gas central heating and stove, a well appointed garden and plentiful parking. Gas, electricity, linen, use of indoor pool are included in the price. The Kirklees Way passes by the holiday cottages on its route to nearby river valley and hillside trails, so Uppergate Farm Holiday Cottages make ideal walker bases. Major cities, motorways and airports are also within easy access. Maps and local guidebooks are available for guests to use.

Specialities

The farm and cottages are in a historic and peaceful location but with all amenities close by, including a newly completed indoor pool and sauna. The farm has free range hens, cows, ducks, geese and pets. At various times of the year there are also hill cattle, ponies, donkeys and sheep. Visitors and children are welcome to take part in daily farm activities. Enjoy the peaceful haven that we have lovingly created, the richness of character and above all our hospitality.
