'Penrhyn is a fine example of a property that is excellently maintained and which exceeds expectation' (Visit Britain-Quality in Tourism). Nestling on the edge of the village of Haworth (at Haworth Brow) in an elevated position and superb rural location, this delightful stone built semi-detached bungalow is all on ground floor level. Penrhyn, which sleeps up to six people, is set amidst spectacular scenery and affords magnificent views across the Worth Valley and adjoining hills. The rear of the property overlooks farmland. There are beautiful cottage gardens to the front and rear of this very well appointed and welcoming property. A summerhouse is to be found in the rear garden and there is also a covered patio area with table and chairs. Penrhyn benefits from a spacious private courtyard car park which has ample accommodation for several vehicles. Internally the accommodation comprises: lounge (with double sofa bed), an attractive 1930's style dining room, a double bedroom with open views across the countryside, a twin bedroom which overlooks the beautiful rear gardens, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with electric shower. Fresh flowers and a welcome tray await visitors on arrival. Children are most welcome. Sorry, no pets. No smoking in the bungalow.

Haworth's cobbled Main Street, lined with inns, shops, cafes and galleries, has kept its historic atmosphere. The village is renowned for its association with the Bronte sisters and here visitors can see the Bronte Parsonage Museum which reveals more about their life and works. The surrounding open countryside offers everything from a relaxing moorland stroll to the 40 mile Bronte Way. Mountain bikes are also available locally for hire. The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is an award winning fully restored steam train service which runs between Keighley and Oxenhope stopping at Haworth. Close to Haworth is East Riddlesden Hall, a beautiful 17th century merchant's house and Saltaire, a preserved Victorian model industrial village. Eureka, situated in Halifax, is Britain's leading interactive museum for children while Bradford has the fabulous National Media Museum. Skipton (Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales) and the Spa towns of Ilkley and Harrogate are within easy driving distance and each offer something different for the day visitor.The cities of Leeds and York are also easily accessible. There are plenty of local pubs and inns offering excellent food and ales.

This self catering holiday bungalow has been recently refurbished to an extremely high standard and is well equipped throughout. Visit Britain-Quality in Tourism recently awarded the property a very high 3 star rating. All accommodation is on the ground floor and the sitting room has panoramic views in addition to a coal effect fire, double sofa bed, TV with digibox, DVD player, VCR and radio/CD player. The fully equipped kitchen contains an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and washer. To add to this, there is an attractive 1930's style dining room with an additional colour TV, a double bedroom with open views across the countryside and an individually styled hand made bed, a twin bedroom which overlooks the rear garden also with hand made wooden beds and luxury mattresses, a bathroom with electric shower over the bath and heated towel rail plus a drying room with tumble dryer and plenty of hanging space for walkers to hang wet clothes. In the warmer months guests can enjoy the summerhouse or the covered patio area. Gas and electricity is included in the price and all bed linen is provided. For our youngest visitors, a cot and high chair are available on request. Telephone accepts incoming calls. No pets. Non-smokers only please.

The cottage is personally administered and maintained by the owners, David and Heather Smith, and so visitors can be assured of the highest possible standards with those little extra touches always in evidence. For guests, Penrhyn is truly a "home from home" where they immediately experience the warmth of a real Yorkshire welcome. During the holiday the owners are always available to answer any questions or advise on local places of interest. Penrhyn has a library of interesting books and boxed games for both adults and children. There is also a collection of DVD's,videos and CD's. Our visitors tell us that Penrhyn is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the wonderful Yorkshire countryside with many of them returning for a second and third time!

After the first near side bus stop Penrhyn is on the left. B. FROM HEBDEN BRIDGE 1. Take the A6033 to Oxenhope. 2. Progress through the Haworth boundary sign. 3.
