Property Information

Welcome to Penrhyn Self Catering Bungalow, ‘a fine example of a property that is excellently maintained and which exceeds expectation' (Visit England-Quality in Tourism). This spacious and well equipped accommodation sleeps up to six people and is ideal for family holidays and small groups. Nestling on the edge of the village of Haworth (at Haworth Brow) in an elevated position and superb rural location, this delightful stone built semi-detached bungalow is all on ground floor level. Penrhyn is set amidst spectacular scenery and affords magnificent views across the Worth Valley and adjoining hills; it is an excellent base for those wanting to explore the Yorkshire Dales. There are beautiful cottage gardens to the front and rear of this very well appointed and welcoming property. A summerhouse is to be found in the rear garden and there is also a covered patio area with table and chairs. Penrhyn benefits from a spacious private courtyard car park which has ample accommodation for several vehicles. Fresh flowers and a welcome tray await visitors on arrival. ***Great value 3 night breaks available throughout February, get in touch for more details!***

Haworth's cobbled Main Street, lined with inns, shops, cafes and galleries, has kept its historic atmosphere. The village is renowned for its association with the Bronte sisters and here visitors can see the Bronte Parsonage Museum which reveals more about their life and works. The surrounding open countryside offers everything from a relaxing moorland stroll to the 40 mile Bronte Way. Mountain bikes are also available locally for hire. The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is an award winning fully restored steam train service which runs between Keighley and Oxenhope stopping at Haworth. Close to Haworth is East Riddlesden Hall, a beautiful 17th century merchant's house and Saltaire, a preserved Victorian model industrial village. Eureka, situated in Halifax, is Britain's leading interactive museum for children while Bradford has the fabulous National Media Museum. Skipton (Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales) and the Spa towns of Ilkley and Harrogate are within easy driving distance and each offer something different for the day visitor. The cities of Leeds and York are also easily accessible. There are plenty of local pubs and inns offering excellent food and ales.
