Two wonderful self catering cottages 1 mile from the popular tourist village of Osmostherley. The cottages have been lovingly converted and located on a traditional working farm. Once stone barns, the cottages are now modern, self catering accommodation, attractive and of a high quality. Set in a peaceful location with superb panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The two cottages , The Byre and The Granary boast exposed beams, stone and wood floors and a wood burning stove.
Situated in the North Yorkshire Moors, Swainstye Farm is a working hill farm using traditional non-intensive farming methods to produce high quality cattle and sheep. We enjoy the natural environment we live in and seek to look after it wherever possible. Osmotherley is a picturesque village of pretty stone cottages nestled against the Heather clad moors, wooded hillsides and grassy meadows of the North Yorkshire Moors. For those who enjoy walking, cycling and riding, there is an extensive network of bridle paths, footpaths and beautiful countryside to explore. There are three pubs nearby serving great food, two cafes, a traditional chip shop and a village shop.
The cottages have been created from the traditional stone barns which form the 18th century farm stead. The Byre Cottage has a spacious lounge area with exposed beamed and a wood burning stove. There is a well equipped farm house style kitchen, dining room, one double ensuite room, one twin room and a shower room with WC. There is a patio area with garden furniture and barbecue. The Byre is single storey and is suitable for guests with a mobility disability. The Granary Cottage provides an open plan living area, stone and wooden floors and a bedroom with vaulted sloping ceiling. The Granary has a contemporary feel with a traditional twist. There is an open living area, ding room, with well equipped kitchen areal Shower room, WC, and one double bedroom,. There is a patio area with garden furniture and barbecue. Perfect for couples.
