Property Information

Luxuriously presented throughout, Bell Island Cottage in Whitby offers chic and stylish contemporary living space spread across three floors. Nestling on the eastern side of the resort within easy reach of Whitby Abbey and harbour, the Grade II listed property dates from 1810 and boasts stunning views of the marina and River Esk. Guests looking to accommodate larger groups are welcome to book Bell Island Cottage in conjunction with adjacent Laverick Steps Cottage, which combined sleep six people. Whitby's superb choice of specialist shops, fine inns, cafes and restaurants lining its pretty cobbled streets are just a five minute stroll away. Our cottage is also within easy walking distance of the Captain Cook Museum and is perfect for families, featuring extensive family facilities and a welcome pack on arrival.

Accommodating four guests comfortably, Bell Island Cottage in Whitby offers open plan living space spread across three floors and features a range of luxury touches from a deluxe aqua tiled bathroom and tub & leather sofas in the sitting room to natural slate flooring and a Mexican pine dining table in the kitchen. Bedrooms include a second floor double and a third floor twin bedroom, both immaculately presented with contemporary furnishings and spectacular harbour views. Full gas central heating and double glazing is throughout. The beautifully tiled bathroom is on the ground floor and boasts a spacious shower whilst the sitting/ kitchen areas are open plan, inclusive of an electric oven with hob, a fridge freezer and a microwave in the kitchen.

Additional Information

A welcome pack is available to guests on arrival. For your entertainment, a 19" LCD TV with Freeview channels, iPod, DVD and CD player is provided together with a selection of games and books. Basic essentials such as toilet/kitchen roll, washing up liquid and tea bags are all inclusive, with family facilities available featuring a cot, high chair, stair gate and baby bath. We offer a laundry service by request for a small additional fee and a collection of local Whitby guides and information on the wider Yorkshire area are also provided.

The town of Whitby has a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs, bars, bakeries and delicatessens catering for all tastes. The cottage is perfectly placed close to spectacular cliff top Whitby Abbey and St Mary's Church, accessed via the famous 199 steps. There are a wealth of attractions in and around Whitby including the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, the village of Goathland (the setting for 'Heartbeat'), Captain Cook's Memorial Museum and the picturesque fishing villages of Robin Hood's Bay and Sleights to name but a few. There is unrestricted parking available on Church Street and pay and display parking available nearby.
