The farm also boasts a fantastic 12.5m indoor heated swimming pool with 'Tylo' sauna and steam rooms. Extensive safe parking is available for guests, and the farm has woodland walks, large gardens and orchards along with play areas for children. Uppergate is located in the beautiful Pennine village of Hepworth in the heart of the lovely Holme Valley, 'Last of the Summerwine' country and offers the perfect retreat for those wishing to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
Uppergate Farm B&B is situated on the edge of Hepworth, a beautiful Pennine village. Hepworth is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and the village abounds with stone cottages; has lovely views and walks, a beautiful church and a pub/restaurant within a five minute stroll. Rolling hills and woodland walks are the hallmarks of this beautiful countryside. The Kirklees Way passes by the farmhouse on its route to nearby river valley and hillside trails. Within 2 miles you can be on the Pennine Way in the Peak District National Park. The farm has sheep, horses, cows, hens, ducks and pets in the nearby fields. At various times of the year there are also hill cattle, ponies, and donkeys and visitors and children are welcome to take part in daily farm activities.
Uppergate Farmhouse B&B has three en-suite bedrooms available to guests. Rooms are luxuriously decorated and furnished offering all the charm, character and comfort you would expect from a property of this standard. All rooms have colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. A dedicated lounge is available for guests and has an interesting range of books, maps, videos and games. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order each morning using local Yorkshire produce where possible.
The farm and cottages are in a historic and peaceful location but with all amenities close by, including a newly completed indoor pool and sauna. The farm has free range hens, cows, ducks, geese and pets. At various times of the year there are also hill cattle, ponies, donkeys and sheep. Visitors and children are welcome to take part in daily farm activities. Enjoy the peaceful haven that we have lovingly created, the richness of character and above all our hospitality.
