Peacefully located between the peaks of Ingleborough and Whernside, this converted shippon (cow shed) and barn offers character B&B accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. A choice of spectacular walks, some of Britain's best, sit right on our doorstep including the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk and the Dales High Way. Guests can pick up one of Britain's favourite heritage steam railway journeys, the Settle-Carlisle railway at nearby Settle to the south. The charming village of Ingleton is only 4 miles away and here you can explore the picturesque glens and waterfalls, visit White Scar Caves or stop off for an evening meal.
Character beamed ceilings and large stone fireplaces with roaring fires are in our B&B, making us perfect for all year round Dales breaks. Accommodation includes The Shippon Suite, a luxurious double bedroom suite featuring a private entrance, charming cosy lounge and dining room area with exposed beams and a woodburning stove and a stylish en-suite bedroom. Croft Gate B&B lies in the tiny hamlet of Chapel-le-Dale, a perfect starting point for an ascent of Ingleborough and a variety of enjoyable walks. Why not pay a visit to the market town of Hawes (13 miles), with its Wensleydale Cheese Shop and Creamery passing the famous Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle to Carlisle railway. Further afield, places to visit range from the Lake District, Kendal, the Victorian town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancaster and even the sea at Morecambe.
