This traditional Inn is over 350 years old and has been in existence since 1750C. Situated in the delightful riverside village of Naburn on the outskirts of York, this charming pub offers a delightful self catering holiday cottage for two people set within its grounds.
Naburn is a small country village and civil parish in the City of York, North Yorkshire, England. It lies on the eastern side of the River Ouse. Ideal for couples looking for a romantic break as well as the corporate client who prefers a home from home, rather than a hotel room. Use of bikes is available for guests to enjoy some of the lovely cycle routes which take you directly through to York from the village. Being only 4 miles from the Historic City of York the local area has an abundance of historic interests, including York Minster, The Castle Museum, The Jorvik Viking Centre, The National Railway Museum, Cliffords Tower and the famous City Walls surrounding the City. A little over a mile away is York Designer Outlet from which locals and visitors alike often call in for a relaxing visit to the Blacksmiths Arms after a hard days shopping.
The Blacksmiths Arms offers this delightful self catering cottage for two just 4 miles from the beautiful City of York. Boasting a wood burning stove and a double bedroom set on a mezzanine level above the lounge so you can watch the flickering flames of a cosy fire before drifting off to sleep, you can even watch the TV from the comfort of your bed. You have a cosy lounge area which leads onto well appointed kitchen and newly refurbished bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. Guests can enjoy a welcome basket including fresh bread, orange juice, milk, eggs, butter & marmalade and a bottle of sparkling wine with our compliments. You will also find a treat from Naburns own chocolatier. A delicious hot chocolate stick which you melt in a mug of steaming milk. If thats not enough theres a jar of marshmallows to toast on the wood burning stove!
Use of Bikes is available, lovely cycle routes direct to York from the village. Lovely dog walking from your front door to the Ings, Cycle track and Naburn Lock. Dog sitting available on request
