Brompton Lakes is an exclusive development of 20 luxury lodge-style holiday homes situated just two miles from the historic market town of Richmond on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Set in 26 acres of privately owned land, the five-star Gold lodges are built on the shores of two large lakes and surrounded by woodland and open countryside. The site is conveniently positioned next to the Coast to Coast footpath and is flanked to one side by the picturesque River Swale – making it an ideal location for walking, cycling and other outdoor activities. There is also an on-site tennis court, free mountain bike hire, private fishing and boules pitch. It is an excellent place to get away from it all and your holiday can be as active or relaxing as you want it to be.

One of the remarkable things about Brompton Lakes is that no two lodges are the same. The interiors have been exclusively designed by renowned interior designer Rosie Mennem, who has undertaken commissions for celebrities including Nicole Kidman. The result is that the furniture and the colour schemes are unique giving each one its own flavour and character. Guests can choose their favourite on-line before booking! One thing, however, that is common to each lodge is the high specification and careful attention to detail. No expense has been spared and all are designed with comfort and ultimate ease of living in mind. We have also tried to be kind to the environment and the lodges have been constructed using the latest green building technologies. Wherever possible, we use energy saving techniques and the latest geo thermal heating systems are used to extract solar power from the site’s key natural resource – the lakes – to provide both hot water and under floor heating.

The lodges themselves offer an unrivalled standard of accommodation in the area and have won several awards for design & innovation. They are distinctive and contemporary, with convex living plant roofs and large glass frontages, the lodges offer an exceptionally high standard of spacious living accommodation. Each has three bedrooms (sleeps six), good-sized kitchens, generous open plan dining and living areas and large private decking platforms.
