5 star Silver Award Accredited - The Mistal Bed & Breakfast is situated high in the South Pennines, an area which is home to television programmes like "Where the Heart is" and "Last of the Summer Wine". It is built in an acre of landscaped gardens 900ft above sea level and enjoys uninterrupted views over The Upper Colne Valley. The Mistal is an ideal get away where you can enjoy a relaxing break or a peaceful business trip. We are within easy access of the M62 and the motorway network.

There is ample secure off road parking available, protected by CCTV. The Pack Horse Route, over Marsden Moor estate & The Huddersfield Narrow Canal are right on our doorstep. Towpath walks are a delight at any time of year recently refurbished to a very high standard, with luxury furnishings to compliment our well appointed bedrooms, all of which enjoy views out into the garden and beyond! Individually underfloor heating. All our rooms have a panoramic woodland or moor land view and 2 of our rooms have a connecting door and can easily become a family room with a state of the art wet room suite. A choice of breakfasts is offered and we pride ourselves on our use of locally sourced ingredients in our breakfast menu.

Rooms Description

The Mistal is a single story home and offers either double twin or single accommodation. Our bedrooms have all the modern home comforts, remote control colour televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and shaver points are available in all our rooms. All the rooms are en-suite, some with wet rooms and under floor heating. Each room can be individually temperature controlled The Mistal has a calm guest reading area with valley views, novels are available for the use of our guests.

Specialities

We have a Swiss style cabin in the garden which houses a hot tub! There are full changing facilities inside the cabin, and the hot tub enjoys fabulous views so is a real treat after a hard day on the hills! Ground floor bedrooms and wetrooms mean that the bed and breakfast is easily accessible to the less mobile guest.
