About this property

Royds Hall Cottage dates back to the 17th Century and has been lovingly converted to provide luxurious self catering holiday accommodation for visitors to Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is situated on the outskirts of Stanbury Village, close to Haworth and less than a mile from the beautiful Wuthering Heights and Bronte Waterfalls. Haworth's famous Main Street is paved with stone setts and lined with historic buildings, inns, shops, galleries and cafes. A short drive to Keighley and visitors can ride on the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway back to Oxenhope and Haworth. Other attractions lying within easy reach include Hebden Bridge and the hilltop village of Heptonstall, final resting place of Sylvia Plath.

The cottage itself has been beautifully decorated and offers guests every possible comfort. The kitchen is well equipped with hob, fridge freezer, microwave oven and washing machine. This room also has fabulous views over Ponden Reservoir where you can catch some wonderful sunsets. The large lounge area has a widescreen TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player for your entertainment. Outside, the sunny garden patio enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and is very safe for children. Fantastic walks lead directly from the door of the cottage to such famous destinations as Top Withens, thought to be the inspiration for 'Wuthering Heights'.
