Holdsworth House is a superb grand venue for leisure, conference or wedding guests. This 17th Century Jacobean Manor is ideally located just three miles North of Halifax in a typical beautiful West Yorkshire landscape of moors and historic mill buildings. We're a superb West Yorkshire walking base, providing a tranquil and relaxing setting. The present stone house was probably built in 1598 although the date stone above the front porch bears the initials and date A.B 1633.
The hotel has a renowned and award winning restaurant, serving an A la Carte menu. Holdsworth House has been awarded two Rosettes by the Automobile Association for the quality of the food in the Best Restaurants in Britain Guide for the past nine years. Yorkshire Life Hotel of the Year 2005/2006. All rooms are exquisitely decorated and our imaginative use of colour and fabrics gives each bedroom a character of it's own. Several rooms have four poster or half tester beds. Our four split-level suites have a sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor and a pretty galleried bedroom above. While the bedrooms have been equipped with every up to date amenity for the comfort and convenience of our guests, we have derived great enjoyment from the choice of interesting and attractive furniture to give each room it's own individuality.
Choose from single, double or twin rooms. Each is equipped with direct telephone, flat screen multi channel TV, hairdryer, iron & board and welcome tea/coffee trays. En suite bathrooms are finished with individual toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes on request.
Holdsworth House has many years experience of hosting both conferences and weddings. Our beautiful Manor House Hotel is the perfect setting for both, and has long been the area's favoured venue for wedding receptions. Now it can also be the setting for your Civil Wedding Ceremony as we are fully licensed to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies. There are four rooms available for ceremonies including the Gazebo, which is the smallest licensed venue in the country and the Stuart Room.
