Visit Websitefor more informationWelcome to The Hayloft and The Granary Cottages, two tastefully furnished self catering holiday cottages in the Yorkshire Wolds, lovingly converted from traditional farm buildings. Both cottages are south-facing and benefit from day-round sunlight and beautiful views of the local area. Guests have plenty of options when it comes to local activities, such as taking a short drive to the nearby seaside resort of Bridlington, or perhaps paying a visit to the fantastic site of the second largest meteorite to hit England which hit the Wolds Countryside in 1795.
The Hayloft Cottage sleeps up to four people and benefits from a beautiful open-plan first floor which blends seamlessly with the original features of the building. Kitchen facilities include a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and a cooker. The dining room has a real flame gas fire for use in the Winter months and also benefits from a remote control TV and a video and hi-fi system. The Granary Cottage sleeps four/six people and was once a brick barn, now converted into a heavenly cottage whilst retaining many of its original features. It has a downstairs kitchen and living room with a sofa-bed to accommodate extra guests.
The Granary Cottage benefits from all the facilities of The Hayloft Cottage and also has an entrance hall with a cloakroom and toilet. With its open plan kitchen area, parents are able to keep an eye on the children whilst preparing meals, making this cottage very practical for families. Hayloft Cottage has a ground floor double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (shower). It also has a twin ensuite (shower over bath) with a spacious walk-in wardrobe. The Granary Cottage has a double ensuite (bath) with a mosquito net over the bed to give the impression of a four-poster bed. It also has a twin ensuite (shower over bath) and benefits from a sofa-bed, allowing for two more guests. Both bedrooms have walk-in wardrobes, bedside cabinets, a dressing table and drawers.
The Hayloft and The Granary Cottages have been awarded a 5 star rating by enjoyengland.com and were in the final at the Yorkshire White Rose Awards for Tourism 2008.
