3 Star Gold Award recently achieved Welcome to Thompson s Arms Holiday Lets, three recently completed 1 bedroom self catering holiday cottages open all year round, sleeping a maximum of 4. The lets are situated in a quiet location of less than 16 dwellings in a relaxing Victorian cobbled courtyard complex, (formerly a coaching inn & stables) with private car parking, garden, barbecue and outdoor seating/dining area, attracting the evening sunshine. There is open countryside on your doorstep - perfect for walking, hiking or cycling.
The Thompsons Arms public house is only 10 meters from the holiday lets, serving drinks and snacks and breakfast on request. On Wednesdays we have music night where local musicians perform although anyone can join in - bring your guitar, violin, mandolin or tin whistle, or play our piano in the bar! Everyone's welcome! We have occasional live groups on Fridays and hold Barbeques. Have a game of pool, darts or dominoes. The kids are catered for with our Children's playground(must be supervised by parents/carers).

The cottages have original barn type features, beams and natural timber effects retained, with modern comforts giving that welcoming reception, complemented with fresh fruit & wine on your arrival. Cottage 1 has a ground floor kitchen and living room, 1st floor bedroom with double bed and shower room. Cottages 2 and 3 are ground floor level with shower room, kitchen and living room open plan, flat screen TV with DVD player and have a bedroom with double bed (on request 2 single beds). The cottages have a comfortable sofa bed and a high chair and cot are available on request.

The City of York is only 8 miles away with its magnificent York Minster, the City walls, Cliffords Tower, Museums, the National Railway Museums, Theatre, Royal Grand Opera House, York races and plenty of shopping! The Yorkshire Show, Harrogate and Knaresborough are nearby as are the market towns of Malton, Easingwold, Pocklington, Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley,Thirsk. York,Thirsk, Ripon, Catterick, Redcar, Wetherby, Doncaster, Beverley Race Courses are also easily accessible. The east coast is 30 miles away so spend a day at Whitby, Scarborough, Filey or Bridlington. The North Yorkshire Moors are 20 miles and the Yorkshire Dales, 30 miles.
