Email Enquiryfor more informationPenrith House is a former fisherman's cottage and it situated in Cliff Street, one of the oldest and most historic streets in Whitby. The cottage has lovely views to the Abbey and sea and easily sleeps 6 people. Cliff Street is in the heart of Whitby and in an excellent location, a stone's throw from the pier, beach and quayside. This makes a fantastic holiday home to explore Whitby and the North York Moors, for families and couples alike. Well behaved pets are also very welcome!
The property has recently been completely refurbished to an impeccable standard. It has many original features and offers luxury accommodation. It has a spacious and cosy lounge, a beautiful hand made kitchen/diner, large bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower, and three very good sized bedrooms, two of which have original fire places. Travel cot, high chair and baby bath available. There are views to the abbey from each of the front rooms. The cottage also has a rear patio and short term parking is available outside the the property for loading/unloading. There is also free unlimited parking on the West Cliff within a five minute walk.
Property comprises of: GROUND FLOOR: entrance hall; lounge with two sofas and view to abbey, traditional stove and fireplace, flat screen TV, CD/DVD player and surround sound system, many books, games and CDs also available; Kitchen/diner with beautiful handmade units and solid wood work tops. Integrated appliances of washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric hob/oven. Microwave and all kitchen facilities available. FIRST FLOOR: Large bedroom 1 with king size bed, original fireplace and views to abbey; Large bathroom with free standing bath, separate shower enclosure, WC and basin, Victorian towel heater rail. SECOND FLOOR: Large bedroom 2 with king size bed, original fireplace and fantastic views to abbey and sea; Bedoom 3 with twin beds. OUTSIDE: Patio area to the rear, with table, chairs and BBQ; Short term parking is available outside the the property for loading/unloading. There is then free unlimited parking on the West Cliff within a five minute walk. The property has been installed with new boiler and has full central heating. All electricity included. Bedlinen included, but please bring your own towels. Well behaved pets welcome, but sorry no smoking.
