4 star traditional stone self catering holiday cottage, situated in the heart of Hardcastle Crags, just one mile from Hebden Bridge, in the heart of the Pennines. Hardcastle Crags is a National Trust Park with over 400 acres of unspoilt woodland and guided walks waiting to be explored. Nearby lies the picturesque Gibson Mill, a 19th Century former cotton mill now home to an interesting museum with cafe. Here visitors can learn a little more of the area's industrial heritage and find out about the history of the Crags. Hebden Bridge is well known for its cosmopolitan atmosphere and is home to a wide variety of bars, cafes, restaurants and unique shops. The surrounding area is fabulous walking country and the Pennine Way passes very close by whilst the Calderdale Way, a 50 mile circular route, passes within 50 metres of the cottage. Our cottage is an ideal base for walkers, mountain bikers and those seeking a relaxing rural break in the Pennines.

Other attractions to be found within easy driving distance include the Bronte Parsonage and Museum in Haworth, Eureka in Halifax, the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the Walkley Clog Factory. The cottage comprises of a cosy lounge with colour TV, sound system, DVD player and WiFi internet; fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, gas hob, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle; a spacious double bedroom with woodland views; a second bedroom with adult sized bunks; large bathroom with bath and separate shower; and an attic bedroom with double futon (please note, this room is accessed by paddle steps and is not suitable for the elderly or very young). Outside there is an enclosed terraced garden with patio, barbecue and a secure shed for cycle storage. A parking permit will be provided for one car. Additional car parking is available in the nearby National Trust car park at a small cost. All heating, lighting, bed linen, towels and toiletries are included.

Additional Information

The cottage has a first floor spacious double bedroom with beautiful woodland views and beamed ceiling; a second bedroom with adult sized bunks which looks out on to the rear terraced garden and an attic room with futon which can be used as a seating area or made up as a double bed (please note, this room is accessed by paddle steps and is not suitable for the elderly or very young). There is a large bathroom with bath and separate shower located on the first floor. All rooms are tastefully decorated to a high standard. All linen, heating, gas and electricity are included in the price.
