Although quietly and quaintly located amongst York’s “snickelways”, Marks and Spencers and the market area are literally two minutes away as is Parliament Square ( which is often at the hub of city events such as continental markets etc). York Minster, museums, river trips, city walls, shopping, antiques and restaurants a plenty are all within very easy walking distance.
Whilst here, why not visit the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Established in 1954, the park has outstanding scenery, a range of wildlife habitats and a rich cultural heritage. It’s a special place – a fantastic outdoor arena for recreation and peaceful relaxation and a haven for wildlife.The railway station is within walking distance with regular trains to Harrogate, Scarborough and Leeds
