Nestling on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park, Cundill Cottage in Scampston village is just 5 miles from the market town of Malton, and is ideal for exploring the spectacular North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and Wolds in all their splendour. We are ideally situated for visiting Castle Howard, Riveaulx Abbey and Eden Camp. If you prefer some retail therapy there are many market towns nearby which offer individual shops and of course the beautiful City of York is only 22 miles away. The East Coast resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington are all within easy reach.
We have a spacious cottage which retains all its original charm and character, with period features, plus a very large garden with seating for your enjoyment. The cottage is surrounded by idyllic countryside, and guests are assured of warm hospitality and great food, sourced locally, with homemade bread and conserves our speciality. The accommodation comprises a large double room with television, tea and coffee making facilities, and spacious en-suite bathroom. There is a comfortable lounge/dining room available for your use throughout your stay.
