Directions to Low Penhowe from the South M1 A1 (North) A64 - marked YORK A64, become single carriageway Continue on A64, until it becomes Dual Carriageway again **You need to watch for signs at this stage** A64, WHITWELL ON THE HILL Move to right hand lane and turn right - marked WESTOW, CRAMBE & KIRKHAM Head down the hill, over the level crossing Over the River Derwent Pass the ruins of Kirkham Priory on your right Pass the Stone Trough Inn on your left Heading towards WESTOW At T junction turn right, with the Blacksmiths Arms on your left Turn left, marked BURYTHORPE **Watch out - Narrow Lane** At cross roads - straight across marked BURYTHORPE 700 yards, turn right Up the drive to Low Penhowe If heading from any other part of the country, make your way to the A64 and pick up the directions from there!
