The cottage is nicely positioned on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and boasts wonderful views across the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and Howardian Hills.
When staying at Derwent Cottage you will find yourself within easy reach of many attractions and activities. The nearby North Yorkshire Moors offer many opportunities for outdoor activities including walking and cycling. Enjoy exploring the various market towns in the area including Helmsley, Pickering and Malton or the seaside resorts of Whitby, Filey and Scarborough. The surrounding area is full of popular attractions including: Duncombe Park, Castle Howard and its stately homes, Sledmere House, Rievaulx Terrace, Nunnington Hall, the castles at Pickering & Helmsley, the abbeys of Rievaulx, Whitby and Kirkham, the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, Flamingo Land, Eden Camp and the Yorkshire Air Museum.
Derwent Cottage sleeps 4 people and is on the ground floor with no internal steps, ideal for the partially disabled. There is a separate sitting room and open fire ideal for winter nights. In the cottage you will find a kitchen, dining area, bathroom with shower and bath, double bedroom and twin bedroom. Electric storage heaters throughout, all fuel, power, linen (duvets) & towels included. TV including a DVD, ample parking, cot and high chair available, stereo cassette radio, microwave, dishwasher, garden chairs and table, BBQ available, shared utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. a games room is available when booking Derwent Cottage.
You will be warmly welcomed at the Derwent Cottage where you will find on arrival a pint of milk, fresh farm eggs and a bottle of wine ready for you in the fridge. Should you need anything whilst staying at Derwent Cottage the owners are discreetly available.
