The lodge is situated at Long Ashes Park which affords spectacular views across the Wharfedale Valley. Brazengate is an ideal base from which to explore North Yorkshire's dramatic, yet restful countryside.The local area provides abundant opportunities for walkers, climbers, fishermen, horseriders, canoists, botanists and ornithologists to satisfy their particular interests, but there are also miles of countryside walks where you can escape from the crowds and find relaxation.
The lodge is fully equipped with colour TV,video and DVD. There is also a CD player and radio. For relaxation, there is a selection of videos, C.D.s, and a good selection of books, plus childrens' games.For outside relaxation there is a gas barbeque for warm evenings. The kitchen is newly fitted , with microwave, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, and electric oven and hob. Brazengate is fully centrally heated, providing a snug retreat at any time of the year. All heating is included in the cost of your holiday. Sorry, but no smoking and no pets.
The lodge includes a spacious well furnished living room, with a door leading onto the verandah with views across Wharfedale.There is a newly fitted kitchen/dining room,one double bedroom, again with access onto the verandah, and a twin bedded room which has it's own en-suite shower room. There is also a separate family bathroom. Linen and tea towels are provided.A travel cot is available for a baby. There is also ample parking for two cars.
Locally there are many places of interest. Bolton Abbey is nearby, the many dales of Yorkshire lie within a short drive, plus the market town of Skipton. The village of Grassington is nearby with its cobbled streets and a wide choice of eating establishments.There are caves to explore, fishing in the River Wharfe, and miles of superb walks. The Gamekeepers Inn is a two minutes walk away, providing high quality food for a relaxing evening, either in the Inn or in the newly built conservatory room. Swimming is available, at an extra cost, in the Long Ashes members only swimming pool, which is equipped with a gym,sauna and a lounge area where snacks can be purchased.

Brazengate is 10 miles north of Skipton. From Skipton take the B6265 towards Kettlewell. At Threshfield the road automatically becomes the B6160. Go straight on here for half a mile and turn left at the Long Ashes and Gamekeepers Inn sign.
