Cornmill from the Mill RaceCornmill Stable Holiday Cottages offer the perfect North Yorkshire luxury retreat in the delightful surroundings of The Cornmill. The present mill was built in the 18th Century, but there are records of working mills around here in the Doomsday Book, so the site has real historic interest. If you fancy a spot of fishing there are brown trout in the River Dove close by.
We make the perfect location for walking on the North York Moors, or visiting the coast or the wealth of abbeys, castles and stately homes in the area, and it will be our pleasure to arrange golf, horse-riding, or other activities. Secure storage available for bikes. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets and we are a non-smoking site for the comfort of our guests. If you fancy a break from cooking, we can offer full English breakfasts and candle lit dinners in the Cornmill opposite
The converted Stable block, which has been lovingly and sensitively converted, is now two idyllic mews cottages, both of which sleep two adults. On the ground floor is a large king size bedroom and a bathroom with bath and power-shower. On the upper floor is an open-plan living room with a dining area and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric oven and gas hob. One cottage has the option of twin beds or king-size bed. Outside guests can relax in the garden, where you can barbeque, or stroll through the adjoining paddock.
The derelict Mill has been beautifully remodelled into a Guest House/B&B and the owner's own home. IN the Victorian farmhouse there is a guest sitting room, with books and games, a log burning stove and a private bar, plus a boot room for wet walking gear. With only five luxuriously appointed bedrooms - one of which has a fourposter bed and one a lounge area, and all with en suite bathroom, All rooms are fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, and guests have their own house keys for easy 'come and go as you like' access'.
