Have a seat in our large riverside garden.You are ensured a warm welcome at Bridge End Farm Grassington, a 17th century country cottage in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Nestling just below Grassington Bridge on the banks of the river Wharfe it offers a tranquil haven yet is only 10 minutes walk from the bustling centre of Grassington, with it's wide range of shops, cafes and pubs. The house is full of character and charm with cosy en-suite rooms, exposed oak beams, window seats and flagged floors. There is a comfortable TV lounge with log fires and a sitting room with piano and musical instruments for guest use. We also have a wide selection of books and games for you to borrow and maps to help you plan your next walk.
Relax in our large riverside garden which is a haven for wildlife, the kingfisher is a regular visitor. Guests can also enjoy private trout fishing on our 200 yard section of river. For children there is a small play area with trampoline, commando slide, swings, garden games, fishing for crayfish (nets available) and boating (river conditions permitting). Home prepared evening meals are available Monday to Thursday; enjoy traditional favourites such as Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding and Beryl's famous bread and butter pudding. Our full English breakfast will set you up for the day. We are well situated for touring the neighbouring dales and within a one hour drive you could visit historic York, Fountains Abbey, the Bronte Country and Harrogate. We have a choise of single (no supplements apply), double, twin or family rooms.
We have a choice of singles (NO SUPPLEMENT), doubles, twins and family annex all centrally heated with toilet, shower and washbasin, TV and hair dryer. Tea making facilities, microwave and fridge are situated in the lounge and family accommodation. TV lounge and seperate music room with piano and other instruments. There is a large off-road car park. Most major credit cards accepted. Sorry no pets are allowed indoors but are welcome to sleep in your vehicle. We have a drying room if the weather is wet. Vegetarian and special diets catered for.
Built in the mid 1600's the house is packed full of character and charm, with exposed oak beams, window seats, inglenook fireplace and flagged floors. The large riverside garden is ideal for a picnic or enjoy a sit on our swing seat whilst admiring the views down the river. For the more energetic enjoy private trout fishing (no charge for guests) or a trip down the river on our rowing boat.
