Elegant Woodlands Hotel and Restaurant has recently been restored to it's original glory, whilst now offering guests the highest standards of contemporary luxury. The accommodation dates back to 1871, and was once the mansion home of a local mill owner. All 17 en-suite rooms are uniquely themed and designed with exquisite fabrics and lines, alongside all modern amenities. The hotel is most conveniently situated on the outskirts of Leeds, yet within a country setting offering beautiful views from rooms onto landscaped gardens.
Guests can expect fine dining and delicious food and wine in our 70 seater restaurant. Dining setting is quintessentially English, with Woodlands three fresh, elegant yet informal dining rooms, again looking out over beautiful gardens. Dining rooms retain original Victorian features such as cornices and fireplaces, and are decorated in crisp white. The style of food has its foundation in traditional and modern British favourites influenced by different cultures. There is a focus on fresh ingredients and regional seasonal produce. All our luxurious 17 en-suite rooms have been individually designed and Woodlands history as a textile mill owners house has been remembered in the choice of room names, all of which have been named after a luxurious or unusual fabric.
Woodlands makes the perfect venue for weddings or conferences. For weddings the setting could not be more beautiful for photography. The hotel offers three dining rooms, one of which can be booked privately. A permanent marquee can be sub-divided to seat as few as 40 guests or as many as 200 and a temporary marquee which can be erected on the lawn to take up to 150 guests. In addition, for smaller groups, our Penthouse on the top floor can be used for business meetings or board meetings. For weddings Woodlands has its very own purpose built marquee, which can hold a maximum of 200 guests for a Wedding Breakfast and even more for evening receptions and we are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.
