The B&B is fully licensed (for residents) and offers a good selection of wines and bottled beers. Andrea and Richard can prepare evening meals for groups of 8 to 16 people when arranged in advance. Group meals are all to a custom menu just for your group. The Herriot Gallery on the ground floor was introduced in 2008 and features the work of local artists and artisans with a range of original artwork & prints, ceramics, textiles and jewellery.
Herriot's Guest House B&B is centrally located in the charming market town of Hawes, in Upper Wensleydale. This 4 star B&B makes a comfortable base for both a walking and touring holiday. Walker and cyclist friendly the B&B offers a special package based on the 4 Day Herriot Way walk. Local attractions, all within a short walk, include Gayle Mill, Dales Countryside Museum, the Wensleydale Creamery and the famous Hardraw Force waterfall. A range of restaurants and traditional pubs are within easy walking distance of Herriot's Guest House.
Herriot's B&B offers a choice of seven en-suite bedrooms, all of which are decorated to a modern yet classic style, all with en-suite facilities. Some rooms benefit from beautiful panoramic views of the fells. Facilities in the rooms include, flat screen TV / DVD / CD, hospitality tray with tea/coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits; alarm clock/radio, hair dryer, Free WIFI and Mini bar, and ironing facilities available on request. We are pleased to arrange for flowers, wine or champagne to be in the room on arrival. Especially for walkers there is a drying cabinet suitable for outdoor clothes, boots etc. just in case the weather inclines towards damp!

The Herriot Way is a 52 miles walk though the beautiful northern-most Yorkshire Dales of Wensleydale and Swaledale. The walk splits conveniently into 4 stages each of approximately 13 miles per day.
