Property Information

The Old Jet Works Scarborough is an elegant and historic self catering one-bedroom loft apartment, adjacent to the Rotunda Museum. It forms part of a 200 year old listed terrace and must be in one of the most attractive and convenient positions in Scarborough. The terrace is a lovely and unusual building with large arched widows on the ground floor which are decorated with marble pillars and carved stonework. The block has been built on a series of arches which means that the upper rooms have barrel-vaulted ceilings. Positioned on St Nicholas' Cliff, overlooking South Bay, the apartment has lovely sea views from all windows through the arches of the Victorian footbridge. You are only moments from the beach.

The Old Jet Works is in a particularly favoured position for all amenities. It is close to just about everything you could possibly want to visit in Scarborough: the beach, Spa, cliff gardens, both cliff lifts, museums, two theatres, cinema, shops, restaurants, station. If you don't feel like walking too far, then you can step outside your front door and visit the amenities on the terrace. The Rotunda geology museum has just been beautifully refurbished at a cost of £4 million. The delightful Gala Cafe is a perfect spot for a lazy breakfast with its al fresco seating and stunning views. The little beauty shop, Chrysalis, offers friendly service and a whole range of treatments if you feel like being spoiled, and you can also spend a few moments checking out the tiny art gallery. Museum Terrace is small but perfectly formed.
