This area of the Yorkshire Dales is exquisite walking country. The historic town of York, as well as the Lake District and the North Yorkshire Moors are also within travelling distance from the properties. Each cottage offers spectacular views of the Yorkshire Dales countryside. Many amenities are included in the rental price for your convenience, including electricity, heating, fuel for fires, bedding, linen and towels. We offer 7 charming cottages for rent, 5 in Thornton Rust, one in Sedbusk and 1 in Keld. These include The Old Goat House, which is a quality stone barn conversion offering spacious accommodation of great charm and character. This cottage combines modern conveniences with original features and has marvellous views of the Wensleydale countryside. The Old Goat House sleeps from 2 to 6 people, and has an ETC 4 star rating for quality. It's perfect for families and walkers and those wishing to explore the area by car. The Piggery sleeps two people and is a character stone detached, single story cottage retreat. This cosy cottage, perfect for couples, consists of a double bedded room, with basic kitchen facilities, an en-suite shower room and a pergola with outdoor sitting area. Nettle Cottage sleeps from 2 to 8 people, and was formerly a barn and cattle byre, now lovingly converted into luxury spacious accommodation with rustic charm. The cottage is full of beautiful features including stone walls, pitched pine and stone flagged floors, solid wood beams, log burning stoves, quality furniture, state of the art TV and sound system, a luxury steam room, and offers superb views of the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. Barn House sleeps from 2 to 6 people, and is a superb stone barn conversion offering 3 bedroom accommodation, with extensive features. It has gardens to front and rear and boasts panoramic views of Wensleydale. West Cottage sleeps from 2 to 5 people, and is a detached, traditional stone built, 3 bedroom cottage full of character. This property benefits from a recent extension on the ground floor, offering shower room with toilet facilities and a lovely second sitting room, overlooking a delightful, secluded walled garden with sheltered sitting areas. This three bedroom property has an ETC 4 star rating for quality and is decorated and furnished to a high standard with gardens to front and rear. Wagtail sleeps from 2 to 6 people. Finally we offer The Smithy, which sleeps 2 to 4 people. The Smithy is a superb quality cottage, creatively converted to combine original and modern features. Walkers will love this cottage located in Keld which is situated at the head of the Swaledale valley and acts as a cross road for the Pennine Way, Wainwright's famous Coast to Coast walk and other walks alongside rivers and waterfalls and to local villages and Dales.
