Bookings come directly to us (not an agency), so you can relax and unwind in one of our historic Gold Award cottages or Five Star apartments knowing that your comfort will be our top priority. The 5-Star and 4-Star Gold award cottages are family-friendly with cots, high chairs and toy boxes, as well as a children's play area, pet animals and a Wendy house in the gardens. The house apartments are 5-Star rated, very private and ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway with their new private south -facing roof garden. Just 10 minutes walk into Ilkley town, Westwood Lodge is situated on the very edge of the world famous Ilkley Moor with over 1000 acres of Open Access moorland outside our gates for you to enjoy. It’s great country for walking, climbing, horse riding and mountain biking. We’re an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within the local Conservation Area. The official anthem of Yorkshire is the song “On Ilkley Moor Bah’t ‘at”. Ilkley, the Cow & Calf Rocks and Ilkley Moor are all in postcode ls29, so you can see from the Google map just how close we are to these major visitor attractions.
Everything is included in the price. There are no extra charge for things such as logs or heating and and your accommodation comes fully-equipped with multi-channel cable TV, DVD, CD, dishwasher, microwave and telephone answering machine. The welcome tray will include homemade Aga baked cake and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. We are non smoking throughout. Dogs are welcome in the cottages by prior arrangement. All inclusive short breaks available throughout the year (booked up to one month in advance in peak season). The four cottages at Westwood can each sleep up to six or eleven people. The top floor apartments are all Five Star and each sleeps two or four. The largest cottage is also Five Star and has been fitted out to M2 mobility access. The three courtyard cottages are Four Stars Gold Award (due to their Victorian design) and making them the best in their class. There is off-road parking and each has a small garden.
We think Westwood Lodge Ilkley Moor is a very special find. Unlike so many places, we are a small family team. We live here and can go that extra mile to ensure you have a thoroughly enjoyable stay. For example, when you arrive, the lights will be on, your accommodation warm, music playing and homemade cake, Yorkshire Tea, Fairtrade coffee and a bottle of chilled wine will be awaiting you. You can enjoy peace and privacy knowing that we're here (usually!) should you need us! So, if you want a newspaper or grocery delivery, a list of good babysitters or some top tips on dining out - just ask!
