Stylish room only guest house in Whitby's old town, superbly set amongst the character cobbled streets just 2 minutes from the nearest beach. Great seasonal deals.
Kika's Place offers stylish room only guest accommodation in the heart of Old Whitby, just two minutes walk from the nearest beach. Guests are encouraged to treat the place as their own, a real 'home from home' in this beautiful town renowned for its boats, piers and harbour. Whitby is steeped in history, having been the starting point for Captain Cook's epic voyage and provided the setting for Bram Stoker's famous Gothic novel, 'Dracula'. The town is overlooked by the ruins of the historic abbey and is home to a wide variety of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and museums.
The landscape in and around Whitby is varied and offers so much to see and do - explore the scenic beauty of the nearby North Yorkshire Moors National Park where you can take a steam train ride through 'Heartbeat' country or explore the magnificent East Yorkshire coast. Picturesque Robin Hoods Bay can be found four miles away and the traditional seaside resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington, with their variety of seaside attractions, also lie within easy reach. A little further afield is the historic city of York, an ancient walled city with a fascinating Viking heritage that can be explored at the Jorvik Museum.
Kika's Place offers a choice of family and double rooms, on a room only basis. All are complete with colour TV with Freeview channels and tea and coffee making facilities. Although we do not provide breakfast there are a range of breakfast paces in the vicinity, the closest of which can be found next door!
**Kika's Place is currently being upgraded, and will soon have 2 more ensuite rooms (one a family room and one a double). Our prices have not increased.**
