Skelder Farm Holiday Cottages are set on the edge of the small village of Commondale on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The cottages have been lovingly converted from farm buildings originally dating back to the 1800s, and for a romantic short break in North Yorkshire, Stable Cottage can exceed all your expectations. The accommodation consists of a beautifully presented double bedroom, with the kitchen and living area boasting beamed ceilings and exposed stonework.

The area surrounding Skelder Farm Holiday Cottages is criss crossed with quiet country roads and moorland tracks suitable for exploration by walkers and cyclists. The beautiful views unfold in the nearby Esk Valley where the Pickering preservation steam railway winds its way towards the coast and the historic harbour town of Whitby. The magnificent sandy beaches and soaring cliffs of the Heritage coastline are a mere 20 minute drive away and there are a number of historical abbeys and National Trust properties to be found within easy reach.

Stable Cottage has very good facilities, with the kitchen including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine and toaster. There's also a TV and DVD player, perfect for cosy evenings. The cottage has a wood burner with a free starter basket of wood, and additional wood available at £2.50 per basket.
