Both cottages are created from old byres set on a 22 acre farm and offer comfortable and relaxing ground floor accommodation. Byre Cottage is the larger of the two, and sleeps 4 guests in one double and one twin room. Swallow Cottage sleeps 2 with a large bedroom which can either be a twin or king size bed. Both cottages have excellent facilities and retain much of their original charm, making sure guests will have a memorable holiday in a peaceful countryside location within easy reach of the Dales, Harrogate, Ripon and York.
Moor End Farm is in a quiet yet accessible location, ideal for exploring Yorkshire and the Dales. The cottages are just a few minutes away from the historic city of Ripon which has a variety of tourist attractions to suit all interests including the Courthouse, the Prison and Police Museum, the Workhouse Museum and the Cathedral. Just outside the city centre is the Lightwater Valley theme park, the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey and the stunning gardens of Newby Hall. The cosmopolitan spa town of Harrogate is just 15 minutes away from the cottages and has a range of shops, restaurants and the famous Turkish Baths. The stunning Yorkshire Dales are also within easy reach as is the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and the historic city of York is 45 minutes away.
Byre Cottage is ideal for families, and sleeps 4 guests. It has one double and one twin room, a modern shower room, a large open plan sitting/dining room with a living flame gas fire, kitchen area, and an enclosed patio area with table and chairs. Swallow Cottage has one large bedroom which can be configured as either a king size or twin room, an ensuite shower room with handrails, an open plan living/dining room with a living flame gas fire and kitchen area. There is a sunny courtyard with table and chairs. Both cottages are on one level and benefit from gas central heating, a gas cooker, fridge, microwave, TV and DVD player, radio and ironing facilities. There is also a small laundrette on site and ample parking in front of each cottage. Pets are welcome in Swallow Cottage.
The cottages benefit from a peaceful countryside location which is within easy reach of the city of Ripon, the spa town of Harrogate and historic York. Both cottages are on one level with parking immediately outside. Pets are welcome in Swallow Cottage.
