Here at York Yurts we aim to provide a relaxing, laid back environment in which you can escape the pressures of everyday life and completely unwind. The Yurt is a traditional dwelling from central Asia that has been in use for thousands of years. They have a distinctive circular design with roof poles radiating from a central wheel and provide surprisingly roomy and cosy accommodation. York Yurts enjoy a tranquil situation on a farm just 15 minutes drive from the centre of York and are set in three acres of grassland fringed on one side by mature woodland and on the others by farmland.

We have three romantic yurts, each individually furnished to a very high standard with wood burning stoves allowing year round use. Each is complete with its own fully equipped cooking tent and fire pit/barbecue for those wanting to try their own culinary skills. Alternatively, just settle back and let us do the work. We can provide breakfast in bed, lazy lunches and candlelit dinners for those seeking a relaxing break away from it all. There is a communal marquee with chill out area, honesty bar and dining table where meals can be taken.
