Visit Websitefor more informationStreet Head Farm is a traditional 18th Century Yorkshire Dales Farmhouse Cottage set in acres of open farmland and enjoying spectacular views. Situated on our working dairy and sheep farm, it is several fields away from the farmstead, and approached by a separate road. Visitors are welcome to explore our farmland (lambing starts at the end of March and the cows are milked twice a day). Miles of footpaths and bridleways run across the park and the Pennine Way passes close by, therefore we are ideal for walkers.
Located just 5 miles from the market town of Skipton, also known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'. Skipton has its own impressive castle, cafés, bars and restaurants. The Bolton Abbey Estate is well worth a visit and the kids will love Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. Slightly further afield is The Lake District and west coast. Ideally situated for rail, motorway and air travel, there is easy access to Manchester, Leeds, York, Bradford and Keighley.
Street Head Farm sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms, 3 twins and 2 doubles. The Farmhouse has all the home comforts you require for a self catering break. The large sitting room has a log burner, colour TV and video, large comfy sofas and armchairs. Utility room with automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing and drying facilities. The limed oak kitchen is spacious and well equipped, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, larder fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker etc. The kitchen extends onto a large dining area with traditional pine table and chairs. There is also a second, smaller sitting room with colour TV, books, toys and games, which opens onto the courtyard. There are mullioned windows and many rooms have window seats for taking advantage of the wonderful open views across the Aire valley.
Doorways are wide and suitable for the disabled. The downstairs bedroom, shower room and smaller sitting room form an ideal ‘suite’ for those who cannot manage stairs or wish to retire early. It is also an ideal quiet nursery area. Please let us know if you are celebrating and we will do all we can to advise you of places to eat, catering, suppliers of balloons and flowers etc.
