Built from stone and refurbished, this cottage offers excellent self catering accommodation with modern conveniences and original features, including exposed beams and a wood burning stove nestled in the lounge. There is a cot and a highchair available and Swallow Cottage welcomes pets. Enjoy shared use of a grassy garden with BBQ equipment. The whole cottage is light and airy with high ceilings, a farmhouse style kitchen with modern fittings and a solid dining table. The low ceilinged double bedroom has an iron bedstead and exposed beams, there is also a twin, pocketed away in the eaves. Sleeping 4 in total, with ample off road parking. Phone calls answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Staintondale is a delightful unspoilt village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, yet only half a mile from the coast. The Rotunda Museum in Scarborough has recently been remodelled and features child friendly, interactive exhibitions. The Old Coastguard Station is a National Trust and North York Moors National Park partnership project. This restored coastal lookout station is an exciting exhibition and education centre, showing how the elements have shaped this part of the coastline.
