We offer a dining room serving traditional classics, a cosy bar with roaring fire in the Winter months, entertainment and 4 star Inn accommodation. A Camra awarded winner, the Dog & Partridge is proud to include a good choice of cask conditioned beers, some locally sourced and others from around the country. Our restaurant serves high quality locally sourced food. We offer traditional country cooking featuring many old favourites, complemented by modern cuisine created by co-owner and Culinary World Cup Medal winner, Richard Punshon.
Today the Dog and Partridge is a family run Inn and hotel and is open all year round and offers a warm and friendly to all who visit. We offer home cooked meals throughout the week, with traditional roasts served on a Sunday. The ‘Swinden’ room with views over the Langsett moors is ideal for families wishing to visit the Dog and Partridge. This is also available for private functions and business meetings. We are currently rearing our own pigs & chickens and next year we are hoping to produce our own cheese. We have entertainment most days of the week.
Why end your evening when last orders is called? We provide 4 star Inn accommodation in the newly constructed Barn. Then awake to a Full English breakfast. The 18th century old Barn adjoining the Dog and Partridge has been carefully converted into a stylish, comfortable accommodation. Many original features have been retained. Spacious rooms are tastefully decorated with views overlooking the rolling countryside. The rooms benefit from a state of the art under floor heating system that makes for a very comfortable environment. All rooms are en-suite with 22 inch flat screen HD colour television with freeview and beverage making facilities. There are 8 rooms, 2 twins and 6 doubles.
• High quality water is supplied to the building the Dog and Partridge’s own well, which is sunk deep into the bedrock of the Pennines. • Booze and Snooze packages offering a three course dinner, a bottle of house wine, bed and breakfast costing only £125.00 per couple are popular for those wanting a relaxing break. • The Dog and Partridge accommodates up to 16 people and is available to group bookings. • Pleasure helicopter flights available from the Dog and Partridge • The Dog & Partridge is licensed for Civil Weddings and Partnerships.
