As well as being home to a wealth of wildlife, Yorkshire boasts some magnificent and historic buildings, from castles and monuments to grand period houses and abbey ruins – all set in some of the UK’s most breathtaking and dramatic countryside.
Recently refurbished to the highest standard the house comprises a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Dining hall with open fire and sitting room with exposed beams, incredibly comfy sofas, flat screen TV and an enormous inglenook fireplace. Manor House Farm is offered as a top quality self catering holiday home with our famous breakfast as an optional extra, we occasionally also offer Bed and Breakfast.
The house consists of are three double bedrooms split into two suites; The Gold suite has a private dressing room and ensuite bathroom with free standing slipper bath and shower. The emperor sized bed has an antique carved gilt venetian headboard and the room is decorated in a rich rococo style of black and gold; Tasselled silk curtains, marble bedside tables and oversized gilt mirrors complete the room creating the feeling of pure opulence. (The bed can be split into twin beds if required) The Blue suite comprises two interconnecting bedrooms sharing a shower room with power shower; one room has a wrought iron king sized bed, the other a super king which can be split into twin beds if required, The rooms are decorated in cool restful tones of blue and cream with antique mirrored French furniture.
Food is very important to us and we use only home grown or traditionally reared locally sourced ingredients when creating breakfast. Our homemade preserves are legendary and the award winning dry cured bacon and sausage is from our traditional Gloucester Old Spot pigs and the perfect accompaniment to our chocolate brown free range eggs. Our legendary breakfasts are still available as an optional extra when taking the cottage on a self catering basis, one of us will come down and cook serve and clear setting you up for the day ahead.
