A warm North Yorkshire welcome awaits you at West Leas Farm. Our converted stone barn offers three tastefully appointed and well equipped cottages near Ripon, perfect for holidays or short stays out of peak season. Our three star awarded holiday homes are surrounded by wonderful countryside views and provide an idyllic retreat. Each cottage has access to enclosed gardens which lead directly to open fields and footpaths in both directions from the farm. We provide you with a map showing our favourite local walks. One even includes a bench, in summer months you can sit and relax maybe even take a glass of wine with you up to the top meadows and watch the sunset on Dallowgill Moor. The nearby village is just one mile away and Cathedral City of Ripon is only a six miles away.

Archway Cottage is ideal for families sleeping up to five featuring the classic arch of the old barn door and magnificent views across fields and trees to a small lake and the moors beyond. Facilities include a lounge/diner with oak-beamed ceiling and a well-equipped oak kitchen. The Byre Cottage sleeps up to five and boasts a luxurious walk in shower cubicle. A large open plan modern kitchen yet still retains the character of the converted barn. It also has a delightful patio and garden at rear, with views over the valley. Granary Cottage sleeps up to two in this cosy one bedroom property. Full of character and charm featuring original oak beams and magnificent views this is perhaps our most popular cottage.

All three cottages have lounge/dining areas offering plenty of comfortable seating, large flat screen TV's with freeview, DVD & cd players. Fully equipped kitchens with oven, microwave & fridge. Modern bathrooms. Outside access to patio & garden areas. Heating and electricity is included in the rent - bedding, towels and welcome pack are provided.
Specialities
The Cottages are WIFI enabled as we know that although you want to escape the bustle of everyday life - you also want to keep in contact with loved ones. If you don't bring a laptop then you are welcome to use the 'internet shed' and surf the net from the pc we provide. This little garden shed also has information about the area. Also available on the farm is an attractive caravan site area for up to 5 caravans with 10amp hook-up for only £10 per night including electricity. Booking is advisable at peak times and weekends.

Directions
West Leas Farm is situated about 6 miles out of Ripon, between the villages of Galphay and Kirkby Malzeard. Getting to Ripon from the A1 Northbound, take the Ripon/Boroughbridge exit (A1 M - Junction 48). Take the road which runs parallel to the A1 for a couple of miles. Follow signs for Ripon - there are several brown tourist attraction signs to help you signed Fountains Abbey. Follow the road past a windmill, over the river, past Ripon Racecourse on your left. Getting to Ripon from the A1 Southbound. Leave the A1 at Junction 50 - A61 to Ripon. Follow the brown tourist signs to Fountains Abbey. leave Ripon on the B6265 and turn right after Tate's Garden Centre. Galphay 4 miles- go through village towards Kirkby Malzeard. Turn right at junction and farm is 300 yds on the right.
