Visit Websitefor more informationWelcome to Garden Cottage, a unique, charming property adjoining The Old Vicarage, a beautiful early Victorian house situated in the small conservation village of Appleton Roebuck, just a short distance from the historic walled City of York and York Race Course, the cottage is ideal for families, reunions or multi family holidays, offering characterful, spacious accommodation for up to 12 people.
We are the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. It is just a short drive to the city of York where you can take a step back in time in numerous museums, dungeons and the Jorvik Centre. It is paradise for shoppers with all the high street shops you would expect, along with cobbled, boutique stores. There are 2 theatres and numerous golf courses close by too. The village itself offers a restaurant style pub and an Inn, both just a short walk from the cottage.
Enter the main entrance, with ample coat and boot storage & access to laundry facilities. Stairs to 1st floor 2 roomed bedroom with 1 King room and 1 twin room, large built in wardrobe & exposed beams. Main entrance hall leads to Bathroom with bath & in bath shower, wash basin & WC. Hallway leading to open plan farmhouse style kitchen & sitting room with gas/electric range and large oak table & additional round table seating 12 total. Cosy cottage style sitting area with wood burning stove. Conservatory leads off the kitchen area accessing patio & large private, secure, landscaped garden. Hallway leading off sitting area to 3 ground floor bedrooms comprising of 1 double, with king bed, room & 1 double room & 1 twin room (use open as family room or close adjoining solid bi-fold doors for separate double and twin). 2nd Bathroom with separate bath, power shower, basin & WC. Indoor games room with 5 in 1 games table (for children indoor play area or bike storage) with garden access . Extra Double and single bed available.
