About this Holiday Cottage

South Wing is our fabulous large house situated in the village of Hunmanby, on the Yorkshire Coast. A lovely grade II listed property providing a taste of history combined with all the modern conveniences you need including, a spacious and well equipped kitchen, 5 huge bedrooms all with lovely comfortable beds and Egyptian cotton linen, wood burner, telephone, Wi Fi, Sky TV, washing and drying machines and a dishwasher. If you are a talented musician, the house has it's own piano, a beautiful Baby Grand. For those who prefer to play their music though their MP3 players, then the house has its own iPod docks for guests.

Our listed property boasts five large bedrooms upstairs, all of which are furnished with luxury in mind, from the extra warm duvets, to the Egyptian linen. You are sure to have a long and comfortable nights sleep in your bed. When you wake you are greeted by stunning views from the bedroom windows. The master bedroom provides a slice of luxury for those looking to treat themselves. It has it's own dressing room, chandeliers, and a private en-suite. However it's most enticing feature is the private balcony which allows you to admire the beauty of the grounds. Towels are provided for all guests and there are three bathrooms throughout the house. South Wing comfortably sleeps 12 and has an additional cabin bed to enable a childrens 'sleep over'. High chair and travel cot are also provided.

The stunning piano room also has a wood burner set in the middle of a beautiful fireplace. With a pile of logs from the wood store you can kick back and enjoy the glow of a real fire. Garden furniture and a BBQ ensure you can make the most of good weather. The oak panelled dining room is the perfect setting for a grand meal with family and friends. The TV lounge provides the opportunity for some extended family viewing with a 40" digital TV, comfortable sofas and chairs and a warming log-effect gas fire. There is a small but distinguished library of DVDs and you can even record your own programmes on the DVD recorder. There are also plenty of games for children young and old and four tennis courts and a 9-hole golf course (available on a pay-and-play basis) within 100 yards of the back door. Free Wi-Fi and Sky TV in the house.

Sea views to the East and a glorious outlook over tennis courts and a golf course to the South. Plenty of parking and over an acre and a half of beautiful gardens and woodland make South Wing the ideal location for a wonderful holiday. South Wing is a large quiet house but is only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Hunmanby village which offers a range of excellent shops including a supermarket, deli, bakery, butchers and several takeaway food outlets. There is a brilliant chippy and 7 pubs to choose from. The gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds are right on the doorstep and you are a short drive from some of the best beaches in the country.

Availability information

Bookings can be taken for whole weeks and short breaks (2, 3 or 4 days). Single night bookings are not taken. And sorry, no pets! 25% non refundable deposit to secure booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to start date. Payments accepted by PayPal, BACS or cheque.
