Traditional Inn situated in Kirkby Fleetham offering B&B. Family or double rooms, special diets catered for, restaurant, garden, pool table, quoits pitch
The Black Horse Inn is situated in Kirkby Fleetham, Yorkshire. The building’s historic charms highlighted by a sympathetic refurbishment, with natural stone floors and exposed wooden beams. We have a restaurant with garden views, serving classic British dishes. We have a seasonal autumn menu and cater to special diets, as well as serving sweets, Sunday roasts and doing both Christmas and New Year. Bar snacks range from bread and butter to delicious rock oysters. The garden has a pool table, situated under a marquee in case of British weather, as well as outdoor seating and a traditional quoits pitch.
Kirkby Fleetham has a thriving folk scene, with special events and local artists. The River Swale runs by the village and the Black Sheep Brewery is in nearby Masham. The Black Horse Inn often hosts special events, such as firework displays and food festivals. Thorp Perrow is an 85 acre Arboretum set in over 1000 acres of parkland and is owned and managed by Sir John Ropner. There is also a mammal centre with wallabies, rheas and a Meerkat island. The bird of prey collection is second to none and we recommend the hawk walk. The Croft Circuit is a must for sports enthusiasts. The home of British motorsport, this high octane day out is a gear head’s dream.
We can offer 3 unique bedrooms. 2 are en suite double bedrooms with muted decor and antique furnishings. The other is a family room, a double with adjoining twin, en suite shower room and Cath Kidson bedding. All three rooms feature a breakfast hamper of tasty local foods and Ren Toiletries.
