Wonderful views of the Wolds can be seen from all rooms in the cottage. We're a perfect base for walking, with public footpaths nearby. The Wold Way and the Centenary Way are also close by. The market town of Malton offers plenty of holiday entertainment, including a 27 hole golf course and ample real ale pubs and live music venues including the famous Shed. The North Yorkshire Moors are only some 4 miles away, whilst the historic city of York and its major attractions is 15 miles away. The holiday cottage has recently undergone a careful restoration, and the property retains historic features such as original beams. This 4 Bedroom property provides accommodation for 8 to 12 guests. To keep the property to the high standard of cleanliness it is strictly non-smoking and we do not allow pets. Bookings are from 3pm on the Saturday of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.
The Granary holiday cottage offers superb self-catering accommodation for either family group get-togethers, or a group of friends. On the ground floor a stone flagged hall leads to 4 bedrooms. One double bedroom has a 5ft pine bed with En-suite shower room, hand basin and w.c. There is a room with adult sized bunk beds, a twin bedroom, and a fourth bedroom with a 5ft pine bed. The family bathroom features a cast iron roll top bath, with shower, a hand basin and w.c. The holiday cottage offers an array of outdoor activities for guests. Outside is a walled garden allowing young children to play securely. There is a large grass area for ball games including croquet. For Tennis fans, there is a full size grass tennis court. A barbeque and garden furniture let you relax and feel at home. Ample car parking is available for residents. Stone steps outside the granary leading to the kitchen balcony provide superb views of the rolling Yorkshire wolds. Electricity, Oil and logs are all included.
The living accommodation is on the first floor. The kitchen and dining area compromises antique pine cupboards and galleried shelving. For your convenience there is an electric cooker, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. The lounge has an Inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, creating a really cosy atmosphere. There are two three seater settees and 2 armchairs. A colour television, digital,video,DVD, music centre and library are also provided for your entertainment. The beds are supplied with duvets and the use of all linen and towels is included in the price. Children are welcome and a cot and high chair can be supplied.
The Granary holiday cottage provides excellent self-catering accommodation set in the beautiful backdrop of the Yorkshire Wolds. Adjoining the living room is a games room that will keep you entertained for hours. There is a half sized snooker table which converts to a tennis table, a Sega Master System 11 games console and a selection of games, jigsaws, board games, and an electric organ. A double and two single futon's in the games room allow for 4 extra bed spaces. A washer/dryer is also provided in here.
