Visit Websitefor more informationMulgrave Cottage is set on Dalehouse Farm, a working farm that has been owned by the same family through four generations situated just 10 miles outside Whitby in the beautiful Hamlet of Dalehouse. The cottage is within walking distance of the picturesque village of Staithes. Mulgrave Cottage is a wonderful 2-storey property that was beautifully renovated in 2009 to provide superb accommodation for up to 6 people. Located to the nearby village of Staithes which offers all local amenities, this is the ideal accommodation to make your stay as stress free and relaxing as possible.
The cottage is a great base from which to explore this stretch of the North Yorkshire coast. Whitby is only a short drive away and with its huge sandy beach, museums, cafes, galleries, shops and other attractions there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy. Other places of interest include Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend and Runswick Bay, which are all easily accessible with wonderful sandy beaches. Dalby Forest offers miles of walking and cycling paths and there are many great wildlife spots nearby such as Falling Foss and May Beck.
Mulgrave Cottage sleeps six guests and includes a Kitchen, Dining area and a comfortable seating area, two double bedrooms (one on the ground floor with en suite wet room). The wet room includes heated towel rail, shower seat and handrail. There is also a twin room and a double room on the second floor and a bathroom with power shower over the bath, heated towel rail and shaver point. Mulgrave Cottage is also accessible for wheelchairs. There is parking available. Towels, Electric and Bedding are included. The cottage has a travel cot, safety gate and high chair if required.
Cyclists are very welcome and the cottage is approved by Visit England after meeting the criteria of the Cyclists Welcome Scheme. The property has been rated under the national Accessible Scheme as suitable for part time wheelchair users. It has also met the criteria for the Families Welcome Scheme and the Walkers Welcome Scheme. Groceries can be ordered online and delivered to the cottage ready for your arrival with prior arrangements with the owners. If someone in your party is having a special birthday or celebration flowers, cakes etc can be organised with the owner prior to your visit.
