Property Information

Early 17th Century Grade II listed cottage in the village of Old Town, one mile from Hebden Bridge in the South Pennines. This historic property comfortably accommodates 4 guests. Consistently awarded 4 star rating by English Tourist Board and has recently earned their Gold Award for the outstanding quality of accommodation and excellent customer service provided. The cottage was renovated by the current owners, restoring and retaining many original features including the open fireplace with gas fuel wood burning stove, mullion windows and original oak beams. The lounge is cosy and full of character and includes colour TV with Sky, sound system, DVD and free wi-fi internet access. The fully fitted dining kitchen includes electric cooker, washing machine, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer and seating for four people. The cottage is tastefully decorated to a high standard with fully co-ordinated soft furnishings throughout.

We provide plenty of information about walking & touring in the area, maps, leaflets and descriptions of walks from the door of the cottage. There is parking for 2 cars alongside the small cottage garden and a small patio area with garden furniture. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement. There are 2 local traditional pubs in the village within 0.5 miles of the cottage, both serve real ale and home cooked food & have quiz & folk nights. Haworth, the home of the Brontes, is only a 15 minute drive away and Skipton, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales a 40 minute drive.

Bedroom 1 has a comfortable double divan bed, spacious fitted wardrobes, dressing table, bedside cabinet, mullion windows and oak beams. Bedroom 2 has adult bunk beds, chest of drawers & storage. The bathroom has recently been retiled, has a modern electric shower over the bath, wash basin and w.c, tiled floor & bath surround, quality towels & toiletries included.
