All of our food is freshly prepared within our tearoom kitchen to the highest of standardsOsmotherley is an ancient historic village of traditional stone cottages where Wesley once preaced. This charming North Yorkshire village has a Church with Saxon, Norman and Mediaeval origins and a spectacular Methodist Chapel built in 1754, making this one of the earliest in the moors. Chequers Farm B&B plus tea rooms has it's own history. The building was once the Slapestone Inn and it was regularly used by travellers and drovers in particular. The tearoom area would have been a dining room, sitting room and bedroom. Chequers has undergone sympathetic restorations resulting in an unmatched blend of history and quality, where once you have experienced our hospitality and cuisine you will want to return again and again.
All our exquisitely decorated rooms are en-suite with television, and tea and coffee making facilities. We welcome our guests with fresh flowers on their arrival. Personalised breakfasts will be served in our tearoom, where our open range fires are often roaring, keeping alive the tradition that is part of Chequers. Authentic beams and moorland views complement well the sumptuous interiors of our rooms, decorated and furnished to the highest of standards. Our en-suite bathrooms include copious shower enclosures, opulent tiled flooring and walls, and heated towel rails with robes. There is ample parking available for guests, and please note for the comfort of all our guests we are a non-smoking establishment throughout. The Tearoom is open Tuesday to Sunday until dusk and we can also cater for evening functions, or any special occasions including family parties and business meetings.
