Osmotherley is an ancient historic village of traditional stone cottages where Wesley once preaced. This charming North Yorkshire village has a Church with Saxon, Norman and Medieval origins and a spectacular Methodist Chapel built in 1754, making this one of the earliest in the moors. Chequers Farm B&B plus tea rooms has it's own history. The building was once the Slapestone Inn and it was regularly used by travellers and drovers in particular. Chequers has undergone sympathetic restorations resulting in an unmatched blend of history and quality, where once you have experienced our hospitality you will want to return again and again.

All our exquisitely decorated rooms are en-suite with television, and tea and coffee making facilities. We welcome our guests with fresh flowers on their arrival. Personalised breakfasts will be served in our dining room, where our open range fires are often roaring, keeping alive the tradition that is part of Chequers. Authentic beams and moorland views complement well the sumptuous interiors of our rooms, decorated and furnished to the highest of standards.
